  • What are your hours of operation?
    Our phone hours are Monday – Friday from 10 am to 6 pm at (423) 315-8468. We are available via email until 9 pm each weekday and until 2 pm on Saturdays. We respond promptly to email inquiries at
  • Do I need a passport to travel outside the United States?
    The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004 requires that by January 1, 2008 travelers to/from all international destinations INCLUDING Canada, Caribbean, Bermuda, Bahamas & Mexico must have a passport. Need a passport: Apply in Person (
  • What kind of documentation do I need to travel?
    Before you may board a flight, all passengers 18 years of age and older are required to present photo ID issued by a government authority (example: driver's license or passport). If you don’t have either of those, please consult directly with the airline for alternatives. If you are traveling outside of the United States, all passengers are required to have a passport.
  • Can I go on a cruise to Alaska or the Caribbean without having a passport?
    Technically, yes, you may be able to cruise round trip from a US port to your destination. However, we always highly recommend that you carry a valid passport. If something went wrong, like a health issue, and you have to be taken to a medical facility, you may encounter challenges re-entering the USA.
  • Is travel insurance really necessary?
    Travel Protection plans are available and recommended to help protect you and your trip investment. Travel Protection Policies offered by most major travel insurance providers include benefits such as Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Emergency Medical and Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation, Trip Delay, Baggage Delay and more. Please ask one of our trained team members for details.
  • What should I pack in my carry on bag?
    You should always keep ticket receipts, tour documents, and identification with you at all times. Never pack necessary daily medication in checked baggage; pack it in your carry-on. We also recommend that you carry a change of clothing and toiletries. Most airlines have greatly reduced meal service so we encourage you to pack healthy snacks. When traveling internationally you are not allowed to take fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers to other countries or return back to the USA with them as they may harbor insects. Follow the TSA guidelines of the 3-1-1 rule: all liquid, gel or aerosol items in your carry-on bag must be 3 oz or less, placed together in a clear one quart ziplock bag, 1 bag per person.
  • What do I need to avoid packing in my carry-on bag?
    You are not allowed weapons or sharp weapon like objects. It is recommended that sharp cuticle scissors be placed in your checked luggage. Butane type cigarette lighters, matches, flammable liquids, fireworks, household items such as bleach, drain cleaners and other toxic chemicals are not allowed and will be confiscated. It is always good practice to check with applicable carrier for specific details.
  • What is the difference between air & land accommodations vs. land accommodations only?
    Air & Land includes your roundtrip airfare and all hotel accommodations. Land only option includes all trip accommodations and excludes the roundtrip airfare. With the land only option, you are responsible for your roundtrip ground transfers to our hotel on arrival and departure dates if you do not depart/arrive at the same time as the group.
  • Do you provide payment plans?
    Yes, depending on how far in advance your trip is booked. Our hosted trips are planned more than a year in advance to give you time to make payments on their vacation. Final payments are usually due 60-90 days before your travel dates. All members on payment plans are expected to adhere to the agreed upon payment schedule. Our team will only grant one payment extension per trip. Send all payment extension request to Failure to make on time payments for 60 days can result in your reservation automatically being canceled with no refund (per our terms and conditions).
  • Do you charge a fee for your services?
    Yes, prior to research you will be asked to pay a research fee that can be deducted from the total cost of your trip if you decided to proceed with the reservation. If you do not proceed with the reservation, the funds will be retained by My Style of Travel.
